Central Training
Two-day Central Training for Read Write Inc. Phonics /Fresh Start
The two-day Central Training courses are suitable for staff from primary and secondary schools who are:
- new staff who have joined a school already using our programmes
- key staff and managers as a preliminary to the whole-school training
- key staff who want to find out more about our programme
Primary Schools. This training will give detailed guidance on implementing Read Write Inc. Phonics (for Foundation to Year 4) and Read Write Inc. Fresh Start (Years 5 and 6).
Read Write Inc. Fresh Start follows a similar format to Read Write Inc. Phonics, but uses age appropriate texts to make it suitable for older pupils working below NC Level 3, including EAL children. This two-day training is ideal for all staff who support these children with improving their literacy skills.
Secondary schools. Read Write Inc. Fresh Start is also ideal for use in secondary schools with pupils in Year 7 and above who are working at any point below NC Level 3, and aims to take them to Level 4 as quickly as possible, whilst also developing their comprehension and writing skills.
How much will it cost?
Central two-day training courses costs vary from £200 to £250 + VAT per person for two days training. This includes a Read Write Inc. Phonics or Fresh Start handbook.
